Reviews for Santa, Baby (RSID: Peyton)

The reviews for Santa, Baby are coming in, and wow, guys, I really appreciate them. You guys make me all teary and stuff. Here are just a few that touched my heart:

5.0 out of 5 stars- Oh, Peyton what a kinky nice guy you turned out to be.
By B.2003  on November 11, 2017

I loved Santa Baby. We met Peyton back during the Rock Stars in Disguise: Georgie series. Peyton and Georgie had a relationship when they were young but Peyton did something pretty bad to destroy that relationship and their friendship. He came back into her life after she was involved with Xan (Alexandre) and apologized for his misdeeds but it was too late; Georgie was in love with Xan.

I'm so glad that Blair decided to give Peyton his HEA and tell us more about him. He is introduced to Raji at a mutual friend's wedding. They have a quick hook-up and the sparks fly. Raji is a cardiothoracic surgical resident; her only goal is to become the best heart surgeon in the world. She lives for medicine and will let nothing get in her way. That is until life throws her a curve.

Peyton was a bit of a jerk in the Georgie books but boy does he redeem himself in Santa Baby. He and Raji agree to keep tearing up the sheets with each other without any commitment; that's the way Raji wants it. Peyton loves her and will agree to anything to keep her in his life. Unfortunately, when life throws Raji a curve she backs away from Peyton. From the title we already know that a baby is involved but I'm not giving anything else away. The only other thing I'll say is that there is definitely an HEA for Peyton and Raji, just the way there should be.

Blair Babylon's writing always helps to enrich my vocabulary. ? Here are a few of the words I looked up while reading Peyton's story: rictus, titer, susurration, and parturition. I love everything about her stories and I can't wait for the next one!

5.0 out of 5 stars – First appearances can be deceiving!
By D. C.on November 14, 2017

I didn't like Peyton Cabot when I was first introduced to him through Georgie's story and even through his semi heroic efforts the impression of him as a full of himself entitled snob didn't change much. This whirlwind tale turned Peyton into a sexy, kind-hearted gentleman who I'd love to meet. He has redeemed himself way beyond expectation.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Rock Star and the Doctor
By D. S. on November 13, 2017

Peyton Cabot left Julliard with a master’s degree and a contract as a soloist with the LA Philharmonic, which he broke to go on tour with Killer Valentine. Why? Because of the guilt he felt for how he had treated Georgie (who is in the band) when they were teenagers; Georgie’s father swindled many of their friends out of millions of dollars and her friends turned on her. But the band needed another musician and Peyton saw this as a way to try and make it up to Georgie for the way he had wronged her when they were teenagers. But he doesn’t really fit with the band and is the only single member of the band.

When he meets Raji at a wedding party, he is intrigued with her, while she sees him as a one night stand with a rock star (she even belongs to the fan club). While she is star struck with Peyton, she is focused on her residency to become a cardiothoracic surgeon and not interested in a relationship. But they end up sneaking around, spending time together whenever possible. She is afraid if it became known she was dating a rock star it would hurt her career options. The secret relationship goes on for years.

I liked Raji and appreciated how much she had to overcome to get to this point in her life. But Peyton blew me away. He understood Raji, knew what she needed and did everything possible to protect her and care for her. I loved the way the relationship was allowed to grow over a period of years. I have read most of the books in this series and Blair is one of my favorite authors, but this book really hit me. Peyton has turned out to be one of the nicest people in this series and I hope to see more of him.

Sandy Klocinski says

A romance hero should be protective. This can range from simply making sure the heroine is taken care of, like cooking a meal or driving her to work (or having the chauffeur take you both) to, let’s face it, some borderline stalker behavior (having a security guy trail her). I like alpha but not where it borders on abuse. I feel like so many of these books package heroes as being ‘in control’ or ‘protective’ when it is just abuse. If this guy wasn’t a billionaire, he would be a creep. I think it comes down to a hero’s ability to make the heroine feel cherished and safe without doing anything that would qualify for a restraining order.
