It's autumn here at Chez Babylon, and so the four of us were sitting around the fireplace, basking. It's a thing up here in the northeastern US, to play chicken with the weather before you turn on your furnace for the winter. So far, I'm still winning. But in the meantime, the cats come running when they hear the fireplace click on.
I think I have the same cats as you! One orange spotted tabby and two solid black cats–all three boys! Yours are gorgeous cats!!
I had to wire our mesh curtain shut on our fireplace. Silly cat will not stay out of it. We turned the pilot on yesterday and were afraid he would burn himself.
How many fur babies do you have? I think they’re very pretty.
Love your books.
Looks great to me as we are doing the exact same thing, including the cats.
Cute little slice of life
You have a beautiful house! And I love your French doors but where is your fire? Your 3 kitties look pretty content. I also took advance of your sail and purchased your boxed set. Thanks for letting me know! Chris
Cats the world over know they are the most important in any household. I speak as a reader with two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and no cats!
LOL, I love dogs, too. King Charleses are beautiful dogs.
Aw, thank you! The fire is in there. It’s a gas fireplace, so the flames are kind of blue and transparent. Hope you enjoy the books!
Hi Serena!!! They are my babbies.
It is a proper thing to do on an autumn evening.
Aw! Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words.
I have 3, all pictured here. Two gray tabby brothers and an orange-flavored one.
There is a glass shield in front of that fire for exactly that reason. Those dorks would jump right in there.
Same! Two gray tabby brothers and one orange maniac. All males. It can get *territorial* around here.
