I spent last week up in Victoria, Canada, hanging out with some of my writer friends. It was exhilarating and exhausting and so much fun, but there was a casualty. My beloved Kindle Keyboard, which has been with me for (I think) 11 years, has finally bitten the proverbial dust. Note the starburst of dead pixels in the upper left corner.

My husband won this Kindle at a pharmaceutical convention when it was the newest, niftiest, most awesome thing ever, right after it was released. Although I also had a Sony Reader, I used this Kindle so much, through thick and thin, and it has survived many vacations and trips. I have read thousands of books on it.

Rest In Peace, O Kindle Keyboard. You will be sorely missed.
